One of these exceptional Medely team members is Taylor Kampa, senior account executive. 

Taylor’s journey at Medely

Taylor started at Medely over three years ago and has been assisting facilities through their Medely journey ever since. Taylor is extremely passionate about Medely’s mission to not only help healthcare facilities staff more efficiently, but allow nurses and health professionals to add more flexibility in their lives, something she’s passionate about as a mom. Taylor’s role at Medely has been her first role in the healthcare space, but her commitment to solving the pains healthcare facilities have with staffing is unmatched. “Healthcare facilities work tirelessly to provide good quality care while facing staffing shortages and budget constraints. I didn’t even really know that was a thing before entering this world, so by supporting them, I want to help ensure that patients receive the care they deserve while also easing the burden on the facility’s team as well.” 

As an account executive, Taylor is responsible for helping clients in the beginning of their Medely journey, ensuring they understand how to use the platform, have a good understanding of their coverage needs, and have a dedicated support person to turn to. “I try to make the process as seamless as possible, whether it’s helping them [facilities] get started with account setup, helping them understand their posting strategies, or addressing any concerns that they may have. I’ll also try to share best practices, like using our favorites feature, to build a reliable team and offer personalized recommendations on their specific staffing needs,” Taylor shares. “I always try to take the time to understand what they need and add a second set of eyes on their account and what their staffing looks like to ensure everything runs smoothly when they do start using Medely.” 

How she provides a seamless experience for her accounts

In her time at Medely, Taylor has been able to provide dedicated support for many accounts, including one of her newer clients, Among Friends Adult Day Care, Inc with Mike Rhodes, vice president of operations and compliance. 

When Mike first started using Medely, he was in the midst of extreme staffing needs that needed to be solved urgently, so from the very beginning, Taylor jumped in right away to ensure that they had the staff they needed to maintain state-mandated staffing requirements. “I had a tremendous need for a few days. My rep, Taylor, walked me through. I was still onboarding and getting used to the platform. She held my hand to make sure that we got everything posted the way it should have been,” Mike shared. Through Taylor’s extra help with Among Friends Adult Day Care, Inc., they were able to find that coverage quickly, sealing their relationship with Medely as their long-term trusted staffing partner. “Mike knows he can always call me whenever he has a need,” Taylor shares. “I always try to communicate with him. When I would see shifts posted when he first started, I would try to make sure we were on the same page and see where I can help out and make sure he really knows how to use Medely in and out.” 

Taylor knows that sometimes healthcare facilities need more personalized care to answer questions instead of turning to a pre-populated chatbot for answers. In her role, she’s made a commitment to ensuring all of her clients feel comfortable with Medely and able to come to her with any questions, even outside of her regular business hours. “I strive to be a true partner, not just a point of contact. I want my clients to feel comfortable reaching out whenever they need help, and I make it a point to check in regularly to tackle any challenges while they’re figuring out Medely,” Taylor shares. “I’ll offer recommendations, say ‘hey, let’s use the assignments feature. It looks like you have a lot of recurring needs or if I think a professional would be a good fit, I’ll give them that recommendation. My goal is to make their lives easier by providing the support they need.” Through her continued support, Taylor’s is able to ensure facilities feel confident posting shifts independently with no difficulties. 

How Medely changes healthcare staffing 

As Taylor works alongside her accounts, she’s noticed large-scale changes when it comes to results with Medely compared to more manual, outdated staffing processes they’ve used prior to Medely. “My accounts, especially those who have used agencies in the past have seen a big difference with Medely filling shifts faster and having familiar pros return and easing the load on their team,” Taylor shares. “Instead of having to call around to agencies and try to figure out manually if someone is coming or not. They can simply post a shift and move on with their already fast-paced day. And then, for those who weren’t using anything, like an agency or Medely, it’s given them the confidence to provide time off knowing they can find trusted, reliable, consistent professionals for both short-term and longer-term needs. It’s been nice for them to feel like they can breathe and just take that time off.”

Instead of calling or texting to check availability, they can easily assign or post shifts to their PRN staff, marketplace, or, if needed, a VMS system. Instead of going down a list and adding more manual tasks to their day-to-day, they have everything in one spot,” Taylor shares. “It’s also really helped them keep things more reliable and consistent and reduce the need for multiple systems and just simplifies the process overall.”

She’s creating a partnership with healthcare facilities that allows facilities, healthcare workers, and patients to truly flourish and thrive. “It’s not just about filling shifts. It drives me to provide the best support possible.
